Among the natural features of the country, there is the Hajar mountain range which features two main destinations : Jebel Akhdar (the “green mountain”) and Jebel Shams (the “sun’s mountain”). The former is valued for trekkers who can enjoy walking through picturesque villages, among palm trees and “falajs” (traditional irrigation canals). The latter, the peak of the Hajar mountain range and the highest point in the country, is valued, on one hand, for the hiking adventures it offers, its Via Ferrata for a more thrilling and challenging experience and on the other hand for people who enjoy meditation or camping in a silent environment.
